The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to
heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of
sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
To
preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
The Apostolic Church of Pentecost (ACOP) is a product of the Pentecostal renewal which began in the early part of the 20th century.
The Apostolic Church Of Pentecost of Canada was incorporated in 1921 under dominion charter with its head office in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
There was an amalgamation between ACOP and the Evangelical Churches of Pentecost in 1953 and an abbreviated statement of faith became the basis of fellowship in ACOP.
For many years ACOP's International Office was located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In 1986 the International Office and the Head Office were brought together in Calgary, Alberta. In 1999 ACOP purchased office space in the Pegasus Business Park in North East Calgary.
ACOP is a Protestant, Evangelical, and Pentecostal Fellowship of churches, ministers and ministries.
ACOP is a member of the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada.
